Boss mods — Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) and BigWigs are the two standards — watch the fight for you. They track boss ability timers and shout when a mechanic is coming, so your attention is free for execution instead of memory.

What they do

  • Timers: a bar for every major ability so you can see the dangerous moment approaching.
  • Alerts: 'spread', 'run away', 'interrupt' — the mechanic name plus what to do about it.
  • Role-aware warnings: tanks get tank alerts, healers get dispel warnings, everyone gets the universal ones.

Pick one, keep it updated

DBM and BigWigs do the same job — choose whichever the crew around you uses, install through your addon manager, and update it like every other addon. Running both at once doubles the noise without doubling the value.

Keep the signal clean

  • Turn off warnings for roles you do not play — the addon lets you filter by role and difficulty.
  • Do not crank every sound. If everything is loud, nothing is loud; keep a few sounds reserved for 'move now'.
  • Update before raid night, not during it.
