Mythic+ Etiquette

Communication, commitment, and keeping keys a place people want to learn — the Blackwake way.

Mythic+EtiquetteCommunication

Mythic+ has a reputation for toxicity it does not deserve — most bad experiences trace back to a handful of predictable behaviors. Here is how to not be one.

Before the key

  • Say what you need: 'first time tanking this dungeon' or 'still learning this spec' changes how the group plays, and most groups adjust happily.
  • Commit to finishing. Leaving a key mid-run strands four people — if you might have to leave, say so before the pedestal.
  • Bring the basics: repaired gear, your consumables if you use them, and a rough idea of the dungeon.

During the key

  • Talk early, not after the wipe. 'Big pull?' and 'kick the blue cast' prevent the post-mortem entirely.
  • Mistakes get one sentence, not a paragraph. 'Watch the frontal' teaches; '???' only tilts.
  • Own yours first. 'That pull was on me' is the fastest way to defuse a bad moment.

After the key

Whether it timed or not, a 'thanks for the run' costs nothing and is what turns strangers into crew. Feedback belongs in kindness — if you cannot say it constructively, the Learning Board is the better venue than a stranger's inbox.
