Healing Your First Mythic+

Tank damage, group bursts, mana on a timer, and how to recover when a pull goes sideways.

Mythic+HealingMana

Mythic+ healing is normal healing under two new pressures: a timer that punishes drinking, and damage that scales past what habits from lower content cover.

The two kinds of damage

  • Tank damage is constant and predictable — keep steady heals and absorb effects rolling rather than reacting to every dip.
  • Group damage comes in bursts from casts and mechanics. Burst is what kills people; save your fast, expensive tools for it.

Mana is the hidden timer

Drinking costs seconds the key does not have. Heal efficiently on trash, drink during travel or whenever a pull ends early, and tell the group 'mana' before you are empty — tanks respect a healer who warns them over one who goes dry mid-pull.

Recovering a bad pull

  • When things cascade, triage ruthlessly: keep the tank and yourself alive first — you two keep the pull recoverable.
  • Use defensives early rather than perfectly; a slightly-wasted cooldown beats a held one during a collapse.
  • After a wipe, say what you need — 'two stacks next time' or 'kick the cast' — and move on. Keys are lost to tilt, not single pulls.
