Academy school
Raid Academy
Boss mechanics, preparation, and the discipline of learning fights together as a crew.
Raiding is the guild's coordinated endgame: a group of sailors learning boss encounters pull by pull until the whole crew executes together. Progress is measured in attempts, and every wipe is information.
This School covers how raids work, what each role owes the group, how to prepare before the first pull, and how the crew reviews logs afterward. Armada raid policies live with the raid team — this is the learning side.

Explore the School
The waters this School charts — concepts first, spreadsheets later.
Raid Basics
How organized raid content actually works before your first pull.
- Raid group structure — tanks, healers, damage
- Boss encounters and what a wipe teaches
- Normal, Heroic, and Mythic at a high level
- Progression as a team effort, not a solo race
Role Responsibilities
Every raid job has a course. Pick the role you want to learn — none are prerequisites.
Raid Preparation
Arriving ready means the night is spent learning the fight, not the backpack.
- Gear preparation and consumables
- Boss mods and encounter WeakAuras
- Reading or watching a guide before the pull
- Voice communication — listening counts as much as talking
Mechanics & Execution
Raid mechanics are shared problems: someone has to soak, spread, stack, or move — on purpose.
- Positioning and personal responsibility
- Movement and uptime under pressure
- Target priority and interrupts
- Soaking, spreading, and stacking concepts
Review & Improvement
Logs turn 'that felt messy' into something specific the whole group can fix.
- Warcraft Logs as a learning tool, not a scoreboard
- Log review sessions with the crew
- Deaths, defensives, and uptime as starting questions
